High pressure drop across a valve creates excessive noise and leads to deterioration of the valve components. The Flo-Dyne Gas Diffuser Silencer is designed to share pressure drop with the valve, thereby substantially reducing this noise and wear.

To accomplish this pressure reduction the diffuser is designed to pass the flow through many small holes. Correct hole size and spacing are critical to diffuser performance. It is also important to match the diffuser flow capabilities to the individual system requirements. Flo-Dyne Limited custom design each diffuser for the particular valve and piping system it is to be used with.

The design system used to size the Flo-Dyne Limited diffuser's is the product of 20 years of experience with hundreds of diffuser/valve combinations. These diffusers are also component parts in Flo-Dyne Vent Silencers as supplied to hundreds of different customers.

Three standard models are available

The GDS and GDI types which are used immediately downstream of the system control valve.

The GDV type which is used for a system discharge to atmosphere.

The Flo-Dyne Limited diffusers can be used in conjunction with any manufacture's valve to achieve a quieter noise environment while reducing requirements for expensive valve trim.
